Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing (CADS)
Established in 1976, Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing (CADS) prompts the inclusion of persons with a disability in recreational and competitive alpine skiing & snowboarding. CADS develops equipment, instruction techniques and manuals, as well as certification standards and courses for instructors.
CADS has over 3000 members and affiliated programs at ski resorts across Canada.
CADS also co-ordinates and administers the annual Spring CADS Festival, a week long event for the people with a disability to take lessons from beginner to advanced including introduction to gates and racing; and for CADS volunteers and instructors the opportunity to participate in daily training sessions and certification courses with some of the best instructors of adaptive skiing and snowboarding in Canada.
