Warren Miller’s Wintervention
The world’s largest action sports film announces an enhanced 2010 Canadian film tour
Do you have a skiing or snowboarding problem? Do you always have to take "just one more" run? Do you sneak around your partner to get your powder fix? Will you go to the ends of the earth in search of snow? If you have answered “yes” to any of these questions, it may be time for a Wintervention.
Narrated by skiing icon Jonny Moseley, Warren Miller Entertainment’s 61st film—Warren Miller’s Wintervention—features acute cases of classic snow-diction from across the globe. There are the skiers who sail from Argentina to Antarctica searching for some of the last untouched descents on Earth. There are the skiers and riders who venture deep into the Caucasus Mountains of Georgia, chasing rumors they overheard in a language they don't speak and there are the athletes who travel to the far reaches of the Columbia Mountains in Canada because they simply can’t get their powder fix inbounds. Featuring everything from terrain parks and lift-accessed fresh to the most exotic settings imaginable, Wintervention is the definitive solution for the snow-obsessed.
Wintervention highlights the most trusted names in ripping—boards-certified riders like Chris Davenport, JJ Thomas, Lindsey Vonn and Hugo Harrison—and top young talent in the field—innovators like Andy Mahre, Jossi Wells, and Zach Black.
“Our addictions to snow-covered hills and the experiences we have there are actually good for us—in moderation,” explains Max Bervy, director and executive producer. “In a world where the chaotic pace seems to increase daily, it's the skiers and the snowboarders who actually have it right, guaranteeing they're never far from clean mountain air, deep powder, and the good life lived in the mountains.”
This fall, Warren Miller’s Wintervention will be brought to Canadian fans on a high-definition nationwide film tour, stopping in major markets including Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Edmonton and Calgary. With screenings often running for one night only, Warren Miller films attract a cult-like following and mark the official start of winter for sports enthusiasts everywhere. With the Wintervention tour, Warren Miller Entertainment will bring their annual film back to roots of the Canadian ski industry, partnering with committed brands and offering enhanced on-site programs and promotions, additional dates and improved venues. Warren Miller premieres are a party and a phenomenon not to be missed. Check out www.warrenmiller.comfor Canadian tour information, videos, photos and more!
