156 job openings at Le Massif de Charlevoix

As part of its $230m tourism and recreation development, Groupe Le Massif is launching a vast recruitment campaign in view of filling 156 positions over the next 9 months for its Mountain and Touring Train environments alone. This fall, 81 positions will need to be filled to ensure winter operations at the Mountain, while 75 new jobs will be created by June 2011, when the Touring Train is put into service. Overall, 9% of positions generated by this first recruitment phase will provide year-round employment in both part-time and full-time sectors.

The Art of Living – and Sharing – the Experience

"With over 600 jobs anticipated between now and 2013, our goal is to maintain a strong appeal within our targeted manpower segments through distinctive marketing, skill development and creative, diversified loyalty development practices," stated Mario Vien, vice-president of human resources at Groupe Le Massif. "Our wish is for our employees and volunteers to live and share authentic and meaningful experiences in tourism and recreation, in an environment that promotes personal development and collective growth, and to elevate Le Massif de Charlevoix to new heights among employees and clienteles alike."

By maximizing recruitment in the Charlevoix and its connecting regions, Groupe Le Massif plans to stabilize and fill the positions required to operate its diverse business environments, namely the Mountain, the Touring Train and the Farm with its hotel, where hiring is scheduled to begin in Spring 2011. "The significant expansion of our candidate pool is a key short-term asset for the extensive recruitment campaign we are about to launch," continued Mr Vien, adding that beyond advertising and heightened marketing tactics, plans include increased visibility on the World Wide Web and social networks.

www.lemassif.com/en/emplois: Apply Online & Stay Tuned to Real-Time Job Opportunities

On the cutting edge in human resource recruitment, the Massif de Charlevoix’s newly redesigned online employment portal clearly outlines the many advantages of working on its territory. Enhanced with video capsules featuring testimonials about the passion shared by its promoter and several employees, it relies on easy management tools for users to Apply for a job, and advises them of employment opportunities in real time via Job Alerts.

These user-friendly tools invite applicants to optimize their chances of being selected by expressing their interest in one or several positions from among five employment categories – General, Guest Services, Technical / Trades, Administration & Coordination, Supervisors & Managers – while the Apply sub-menu provides details about each position to be filled.
