Fireworks and Free Demos This Weekend at Marble Mountain
This weekend, Newfoundland’s Marble Mountain will help kick-off the 41st Corner Brook Winter Carnival with excellent ski conditions and lots of fun events for the whole family. Join Marble for fireworks, demo days, fun races and parties in the Knotty Pine Lounge. Events include:
Skiing with Leif the Lucky, February 19, 4-6 pm:
Learn a new winter sport with Corner Brook Winter Carnival's mascot Leif the Lucky!?? The Beginner Area will be lit especially for this fun family program, which is open to beginner or novice skiers and snowboarders. Everyone age three and up is welcome and families learning together are encouraged!??$16.95 + hst per person. Price includes group lesson, lift ticket for use during lesson and rental equipment.??Please register by noon on February 19 by phone at 709.637.7601 or at the ticket counter.
Fireworks and Torchlight Parade, Feb 19, 7 pm:
The spectacular fireworks show at Marble Mountain is a favourite event during the Corner Brook Winter Carnival.??The Cookhouse will be open for business throughout the evening, so join your friends for a cup of hot chocolate and a snack at this fun family event!??This event happens weather permitting. Demo Days, Feb 18-19, 10 am:
This is your chance to take the latest ski and snowboard gear out for a test run where it matters most... on the snow! For two days, Marble Mountain will host reps from Burton, Head, Rossignol, Salomon and Magine, a local snowboard manufacturer. Its the biggest demo event ever held at Marble Mountain.
