Canadian freestyle ski athletes will be showcased around the world this weekend before heading home to join their families for the holiday break.

In China, 30,000 spectators are expected at the Olympic Bird’s Nest Stadium to watch the FIS Aerial World Cup. Sabrina Guerin (Laval, QC) will be competing Saturday in the women’s event. Travis Gerrits (Milton ON) and J.C Andre (Montreal, QC) will be competing Sunday in the Men’s events.

At Copper Mountain, Colorado, our Halfpipe skiers will be competing on Saturday. Only Mike Riddle has already qualified for Sochi. Everyone else is still vying for his or her Olympic spot.

On Sunday, Kim Lamarre (pictured) of Quebec City, and Alex Beaulieu-Marchand (Quebec City, QC) both silver medalists in last weekend’s Dew Tour, are hoping to prove their success was not a one-off and they deserve to be part of Canada’s Olympic team.
