Red Mountain Expands With Cat-Skiing On Mt. Kirkup

BC’s Red Mountain Resort will expand its in-bounds ski experience for the 2014-2015 season with the addition of nearly 200 acres on Mt. Kirkup. This new cat skiing operation will act as a shuttle from Grey Mountain to the peak of Mt. Kirkup with seats sold on a first come, first served basis for only $10 a run with the purchase of a lift ticket or season pass.

Banff’s New Climbing Experience at Mt. Norquay: Via Ferrata

With winter over, Banff’s Mt. Norquay has turned its full attention to opening a brand new summer climbing activity for Banff National Park: the Via Ferrata. Italian for ‘Iron Path’, the Via Ferrata climbing experience will take you to the cliffs above the ski area as you’re led by a certified guide and assisted by a fixed anchoring system of cables, ladders and a suspension bridge. The exposure is real, but so is the safety.
