When Mount Washington’s Director of Sport and Guest Services, Mike Manara, offered up free skiing, free lessons, and free rentals in 2018, we all paid attention. His success was instant. The resort offered up the same program again in the early season of 2018 and will run it for 10 days in January as well.

There are very few marketers in our industry today that would argue the importance of research. Oddly, however, there are even fewer who actually use it. I’m not sure why this happens, but I suspect that research is the kale of marketing—we know it’s good for us, but it takes a helluva lot of work to turn it into something that we want to consume.

That’s a Wrap! National Ski & Snowboard Day 2019

National Ski & Snowboard Day weekend was on January 26th and 27th, and the results were outstanding! Over 100 ski areas participated, over 1800 guests took to the slopes, Over 1000 people participated in Canada's Largest Lesson, Tremblant held the Moguls World Cup, and Blue Mountain held the World Cup Ski Cross! Needless to say, it was a packed weekend full of some amazing experiences.

Ski Racer Hudec Launches App for Skiers

Canadian Olympic medallist Jan Hudec launched his new pandaHAUS snowsports social network and fundraising app last week at the “Super Bowl of ski racing” in Kitzbühel, Austria. The Canadian speed skier – nicknamed Panda – says the app is for “more than just skiing.” It’s a powerful photo and content sharing community for skiers, riders and fans.
