Tremblant

Quebec’s Tremblant Resort has a long list of activities planned for Summer 2014:

Ziptrek Ecotours – thrillseekers, this one is for you!

June 20 is when daredevils can experience the longest zipline trek in Eastern North America. Three of the five new treetop ziplines approach or exceed 1 km in length and offer unique views of the Laurentians, with short guided hikes between rides doubling as ecotours.

Also on this summer’s to-do list are scenic gondola rides, skyline luge, climbing wall, mini-putt, Eurobungee and a Birds of Prey show, to name a few. And the best way to enjoy it all is with an Activity Card loaded with 3 to 10 activities, from $15.29 for kids 3 to 5.

Top ticket to 300 free shows

Tremblant is hosting more than 300 free indoor and outdoor summer performances from June to October. The Tremblant International Blues Festival (July 4–13) proposes 10 days of festivities showcasing top Canadian and international performers. Les Rythmes Tremblant (June 22–Sept.14) sets the stage for seventy or so shows including a number of Québec chart toppers while la Fête de la Musique (Aug. 29–Sept.1), cleverly orchestrated by Angèle Dubeau, assembles Canada’s 50 top bands – from classical to world music and jazz.

Wanderlust wellness and new in 2014: Tremblant Gourmand

Tremblant is poised to host a second edition of Wanderlust, the world’s largest yoga, wellness and music festival, August 21–24. The mountain setting and Lac Tremblant’s calm waters will serve as the perfect backdrop for this major event dedicated to inner balance. New this fall from September 19–28, Tremblant Gourmand is sure to appeal to active epicures during 10 days of fun that pairs the best of the great outdoors with terroir gastronomy. A unique festival here in Canada, it showcases physical fitness at the core of a gourmand hiking circuit that is open to all.
