2017 CADS Ski and Snowboard Festival

On behalf of the Adaptive Sports at Sun Peaks events committee and the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre, in partnership with Alpine Canada Alpin and Canada-Snowboard, we are very pleased to confirm that the 2017 CADS Ski and Snowboard festival will be held a Sun Peaks Resort on March 26 to 31, 2017. The festival will offer:

  • Fully accessible ski-in ski out-accomodation at competitive rates at the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel
  • Discounted lift tickets to all CADS members
  • Ski and snowboard lessons to participants of any level and ability
  • Instructor certification courses
  • Racing and gate training for everyone
  • Athlete development seminars
  • A ski and snowboard racing event for everyone
  • Daily socials and apres ski activities for the whole family
  • The annual CADS awards banquet
  • The annual CADS AGM
  • Over 4,000 acres of ski and snowboard terrain spread over three commanding peaks

2016 Pre-course for CADS level 3 Instructors and Course Conductors

The Pre-Courses this year are designed for current CADS Level 3’s or higher in an effort to graduate as many Level 3 Course Conductors as possible and present the draft Snowboard Manual.

  • The 2016 Western Pre-course will be at Sun Peaks Resort, BC, November 24, 25, 26 & 27, 2016
  • The 2016 Eastern Pre-course will be at Calabogie Peaks, ON, December 8, 9, 10 & 11, 2016

CADS has the goal of doubling the size of its current group of L3 and CC over the next two years. CADS is planning to run within each Division or region some courses specifically focused on supporting Level 2 instructors who seek to elevate their skills to a Level 3, in anticipation of then achieving their L3 Course Conductor certification.

NEW for 2017: Carve The Future Ski Camps

Coming this January/ February to Quebec, Alberta, BC, and Ontario, Alpine Canada in collaboration with CADS invites you to come out and try a few days of Entry Level Ski Racing at a CARVING THE FUTURE Camp near you. Alpine Canada Alpin would like to invite you to learn what ski racing is about!
