“What a difference a day makes!”

This from Mount Washington, BC spokesman Brent Curtain, who was stoked to report it was snowing hard last weekend at the Vancouver Island ski resort, finally enabling Mount Washington to open for the season on January 11, 2014.

The ski resort was “getting absolutely inundated with snow,” Curtain said last weekend, “…as the saying goes, better late than never! We’ve received over 60cms of new snow in the last 24 hours which brings our mid-mountain base to 110cms…. Needless to say, thousands of snow-starved Islanders are checking out our webcams to see what’s going on up here!”
