The Toronto Ski + Snowboard Show is just over one month away, and although there are a tonne of new amazing features, we can’t wait to head to the Action Zone. Here are just a few of the awesome features that we’re excited about:

VR Experience

Anyone who has watched a downhill race can only imagine what it must be like to approach speeds of 100 miles per hour on skis. No need to be limited by imagination when you can experience Kitzbuhel’s Hahnenkamm or the Blue Mountain Ski Cross World Cup course in virtual reality! EyeLive (VR Producers for sports) will provide the opportunity at the Toronto Ski + Snowboard Show Action Zone, where ski racing fans can get right into the racing action with swivel seats and VR headsets provided.

The Ski Simulator

Want to sample what skiing is like before hitting the slopes, or, if you’re already a ‘ripper’, tune yourself up for the season ahead? The ski simulator offers an endless ski slope on a revolving surface for experiencing skiing indoors. This unique indoor facility provides a controlled and safe environment for first-timers and seasoned pros alike. Ski equipment (skis, boots and poles) will be available on site for those interested to try it out.

Roller Ski Demos

Cross country skiing is an exhilarating winter activity but the experience is possible in any season on Cross Country roller skis! This great activity prepares people for the cross country ski season ahead while developing balance and endurance. Demo roller skis will be available on site for those interested to try it out.

Alpine Racing Game

Think you can beat your friends to the bottom of the mountain? Prove it on the Alpine Racer video game where you can ski race head-to-head! Each player simulates the movements of a downhill skier to navigate their way through the course. Select your own ‘alter ski-ego’ and feel the wind in your face (literally!) and speed your way to the finish line.

Burton Riglet Park

The Burton Riglet Park offers a unique and fun environment for kids to experience snowboarding. Utilizing gear designed and developed for creating that snowboarding feeling, kids learn quickly and safely with expert instruction. After shredding indoors they’ll be craving real slope time!
