Lake Louise

USA Today has named Alberta’s Lake Louise as “the most scenic ski resort in the world.”

Lake Louise Ski Resort received this top honour for being “unsurpassed with postcard perfect beauty,” the US newspaper says.

As for the skiing, USA Today goes on to say: “At the resort, there is a green or a blue run from every chair, so guests of different abilities can enjoy the scenery without getting too separated.”

“Every day our guests and staff are treated to some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere,” says Dan Markham of Lake Louise. “The fact that we have an amazing ski resort nestled in the heart of it all, is a special bonus.”

Nine other ski areas were included on the “most scenic” list, including Heavenly Mountain in California, Mt Bachelor in Oregon, and Zermatt, Switzerland. In No.6 spot was the only other Canadian ski resort to make it to the list: Quebec’s Mont Tremblant. USA Today says the Laurentians Mountains offer “an ‘alps-like’ experience without leaving North America.
