Mount Washington

Mount Washington Alpine Resort is pleased to announce that they have offered complimentary skiing and snowboarding to Mt Seymour season pass holders while Mt Seymour waits for additional snowfall.

The offer is effective immediately and is based on the operational status of the Mystery Peak Express quad chair at Mt Seymour. When Mt Seymour receives sufficient snow levels to operate the offer will expire (with one week’s notice).

Don Sharpe, Director of Business Operations and Marketing at Mount Washington Alpine Resort, stated “We are pleased to offer this opportunity to Mt Seymour Resort pass holders. We have been in the same situation and we understand that pass holders are avid skiers and boarders. Hopefully Mt Seymour’s guests will get the chance to experience the snow on the Island.”

Eddie Wood, General Manager and President of Mt Seymour Resort, commented, “We are pleased to accept this kind of offer from Mount Washington Alpine Resort and will extend the same offer to Mount Washington season pass holders in the event that Mount Washington find themself in a similar situation. We are as eager as all of our pass holders to receive additional snowfall, and hope that by offering complimentary skiing and snowboarding at Mount Washington Alpine Resort, our pass holders can continue to enjoy the snow.”

A major low pressure system that moved across east Vancouver Island brought with it vast amounts of snow to Mount Washington Alpine Resort. The mountain received over 60cm in the last week. The snow base is well above the 140cm mark.
