In an editorial this week, Canada’s National Post reminds Canadians of some of the great Olympic moments athletes experienced at Sochi that weren’t related to hockey.
The newspaper singled out skier Jan Hudec’s rocky road (seven knee operations) to his bronze Super-G Medal as moment to remember:
“There are plenty of examples from which to choose. But the one that sticks out for us is Canadian alpine ski racer Jan Hudec… it’s the amazing way he got to the podium.”
