A partnership agreement has been reached between the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance and the Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructors in the interest of exploring opportunities to share and collaborate on common initiatives related to instructor education, training and certification. This partnership holds many opportunities.

An agreed upon Memorandum of Understanding between these parties will include:

  • Sharing ideas, knowledge and expertise common to cross country, telemark and alpine disciplines including but not limited to manuals, guides, content, methods;
  • Collaborating around the development of programming and professional improvement opportunities;
  • Recognizing professional development towards a certification for members;
  • Most importantly, this partnership will promote snow sports through excellence in instruction and certification.

Dan Ralph – Managing Director of the CSIA stated, “The ski industry wants and needs more collaboration like this and we are excited to bring further education and training opportunities to our membership. This partnership will strengthen our brand and help grow the sport”.

Gaétan Lord – CANSI President stated, “I am very excited to see this partnership with CSIA develop. While our sports may not at first seem related, from an instructor’s standpoint they have much in common and a partnership is only logical.  We share many of the same objectives on promoting skiing by providing high quality instruction, regardless of what type of ski you use.  CANSI is looking forward to collaborating with CSIA on many aspects such as training and resources.”
