It’s the earliest snowmaking effort in recent memory. Nova Scotia’s Ski Wentworth started up its snowguns for the first time this week; currently the guns are covering two-thirds of Wentworth’s total terrain.

Wentworth is 815 vertical feet high with 20 alpine trails, a halfpipe, terrain park and a variety of trails from beginner to expert.

Night skiing at Wentworth is possible on three trails: Sissy, Rosebowl and Beaver; lights are on the Terrain Park and halfpipe.
