The top 160 athletes will be invited to the Canadian resort this year for the North American Championships based on their national or regional rankings.

Whistler Blackcomb, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, receives an average annual snowfall of 11.63 metres (38.2 feet) and is known for having excellent spring conditions well into May. The resort boasts a whopping 8,171 acres and some of the best big mountain skiing terrain in the world.

“We are very proud the IFSA has chosen Whistler Blackcomb as the host resort for the North American Junior Freeride Championships this year,” says Cate Webster, Events Supervisor at Whistler Blackcomb. “This is a great opportunity to showcase the extensive terrain our resort has to offer and we look forward to hosting some of the best up and coming ski and snowboard talent here.”
