Blue Mountain Resort has been sharing news of the November 1 early bird season pass deadline since the end of summer but the snowfall this past weekend really drew the attention of winter enthusiasts to the ski hills.
After very warm fall temperatures, locals were pleasantly surprised by nearly six inches of snow on the weekend. With just one photo posted on Blue Mountain’s Facebook page featuring the Village and ski runs covered in fresh snow, the page reached nearly 40 times the number of people it reached with a similar post just a month earlier.
“There is no doubt that Winter Warriors are excited to see snow this early,” says Tara Lovell, Manager, PR at Blue. “The reaction was huge and I wish we could take credit for it. It’s great timing for a little taste of winter as we get closer to our early bird deadline.”

Blue’s early bird deadline is November 1 and the Resort is offering a variety of passes including the return of its most popular 5×7® Pass. New this fall is the Student Pass which includes lift access all day and all night Sunday to Friday and night skiing every Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Student Pass also includes free rental gear and is available for purchase with a valid student ID.

“Opening day is still at the whim of Mother Nature,” says, Lovell. “But if you get your pass before the deadline, you’ll be ready to carve and ride as soon as the lift chair starts operating.”

Winter lovers who are itching to hit the slopes can take advantage of the early bird rates on season passes by visiting www.bluemountain.ca or calling 1-800-445-0231 by November 1.
