Stoneham

This week, Quebec’s Stoneham Mountain Resort is celebrating both its 50th anniversary and its hosting of the FIS World Snowboard Cup.

From the 14th to 19th of January 2014, the best half pipe and slope style riders are competing in Stoneham, just 20 minutes from downtown Quebec City. This huge event is the last chance for the athletes to get to the Olympics in Sochi this February.

“We are happy to welcome the best snowboarders of the world, which is truly inspiring for our up and coming youngsters,” says Daniel Rochon, VP and General Manager for both Stoneham Mountain Resort and Mont-Sainte-Anne. “We invite everybody from the area and outside to come and visit us to cheer up the athletes taking part in this important race.”
