Sun Peaks’ annual Family Cup (January 2 – 16) began this week at Sun Peaks Resort in British Columbia.
Newly expanded this winter, the two week celebration consists of a variety of family focused activities, events and competitions throughout the village and on the mountain, culminating with the signature race, The Sun Peaks Family Cup on January 12.
The race takes place on a modified Dual GS course and is suitable for all abilities. It has been raced by those as young as two years and an old as 71 years.
In 2012, there were more than 100 competitors from five countries including Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Hong Kong & Singapore. The events are open to any individual, family or team from any nation and families from around the region and resort guests are encouraged to participate.
