Banff, Alberta, Canada– Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort and Banff’s only ski-in, ski-out hotel, the Sunshine Mountain Lodge, will open their doors to guests this Saturday, November 14, 2015.

With a current base of over 46 cm (1 ft 6 in) and lots of all-natural snow having blanketed the resort over the past few days, Sunshine Village is poised for a solid start to the 2015–2016 season.

“Large snowfalls over the last couple of days have made this mid-November opening possible,” says Dave Riley, Chief Operating Officer, “and we couldn’t have done it without the hard work and determination of the entire Sunshine Village team.”

Exact lifts and runs opening will be announced in the next few days. Reduced prices for opening day will be in effect as well.

The resort will also offer full ski school programs as well as Tiny Tiger and Kids Kampus programs on Saturday, in addition to opening select on-mountain rentals, dining and retail venues.

Skiers and riders are advised to use caution as early season conditions mean there may be unmarked natural hazards around the resort.
