Hands in front, shoulders over the knees, keeping active in the lower body – Big White ski pro Josh Foster talks tactics to employ when you’re venturing off into bumpy ski terrain for the first time.

Meet Josh

Josh Foster lives to ski and loves to share that passion for skiing with whoever will listen! He started skiing in eastern Canada at a great little place called Dagmar; this was also the place where a few years later Josh got his first job teaching skiing. After getting totally hooked, he headed west to Banff and Sunshine Village. Josh spent a few seasons in the Rockies and then took that experience back to Ontario to be a Ski School Director at Mount Pakenham in the Ottawa Valley. What Pakenham lacked in altitude it made up for in attitude, great people, and a lot to learn. It was during this time that Josh successfully achieved the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance Level 4 certification.
