Today’s Pic: Larisa Yurkiw On Course at Lake Louise

Owen Sound’s Larisa Yurkiw, 24, on course at the Women’s downhill course at Lake Louise, AB. Yurkiw is the lone Canadian due to compete in the back-to-back World Cup downhill races on Friday and Saturday. Also watch for US ski racer Lindsey Vonn, who’s been dubbed “Lake Lindsey” for her generous leads in this week’s training runs.
Friday’s first ladies’ downhill will be screened live on CBCSports.ca and CBC Bold at 2:25 p.m. ET. Saturday’s second downhill will be live on CBCSports.ca at 2 p.m. ET and on the main network at 5 p.m. ET. Sunday’s ladies’ super-G will be shown at 2 p.m. local time on the main network. Sportsnet is broadcasting Sunday’s men’s giant slalom from Beaver Creek, USA, at 7 p.m. ET on Sportsnet One.
