With skiing and snowboarding now under full swing at BC’s Whistler Blackcomb, officials are reporting “a lot” of questions surrounding what goes on behind the scenes to get these two mammoth mountains open each morning.

As a result, WB has launched a new video called: The Wonder Reels S2: The Eye Of The Storm.

This latest video in The Wonder Reels S2 series profiles Whistler Blackcomb Avalanche Forecaster Tony Sittlinger. For Tony, storm chasing is a labour of love.

Says Whistler Blackcomb’s PR team: “This video follows Tony and the Blackcomb Ski Patrol on their early morning ritual as they ready the mountains for the rest of us while we are all still snug in our beds!”

Intrigued? If you’re looking for even more information about what goes on behind the scenes, Whistler Blackcomb will be hosting The Forecasters’ Forum on Saturday, November 23 at 7:00pm.

The Forecasters’ Forum is hosted by the Whistler Blackcomb Ski Patrol in partnership with Arc’Teryx and will feature presentations from Whistler Blackcomb Avalanche Forecasters, Tony Sittlinger and Anton Horvath.
