The Whitewater Snowboard team has joined the Kootenay Riders, an extension of the North Shore Snowboard Team.

The Kootenay Riders have been operating in the province of BC for many years and have been leading the way in athlete development.

“We are very proud and excited to be able to provide a venue for this wonderful organization to facilitate the growth of competitive snowboarding in the region,” says a Whitewater press release. “Whitewater has recognized that our athletes demand a greater level of skills and experience in coaching competitive snowboarding; Kootenay Riders and the North Shore Snowboard Team are able to deliver.”

All team administration will be taken care of through The North Shore Snowboard Team website. Riders can find program details as well as links to registering your child online. The team will be following the same format as in years past, running every Saturday for 12 consecutive weeks, beginning January 4th. Athletes will train from 10am – 4pm.

Whitewater is located near Nelson, British Columbia. To book into any of the Freeride Team please email snowschool@skiwhitewater.com or call 250-354-4944.  Lift tickets, unless otherwise stated, are not included with the cost of the program.
